Fifty meters. A three-second head start. And a professionally trained police dog who is much, much faster than the stag. That's the whole challenge, and it's every bit as intense as it sounds.
Dog Chase, also known as Man vs. Dog, is one of the most adrenaline-packed stag do activities in Prague. The stag pulls on a full protective bite suit, takes his starting position and runs for the finish line. Three seconds later, the handler releases the dog. What happens next is the moment the whole group will be talking about for the rest of the weekend, and probably at the wedding too.
Everything starts with a safety briefing from an experienced dog handler, who explains exactly what's about to happen and how to react. The stag then gets kitted out in a special protective suit and helmet designed to withstand dog bites.
His mission sounds simple: make it to the end of the track. He gets a 50-meter course and a three-second head start before the dog is released. The finish line looks close, the dog closes the gap even faster, and the confrontation is inevitable. The dog is trained to engage the protective suit on command and remains under the handler's control throughout the chase. The group watches from a safe distance, filming every second and cheering (or laughing) as the dog catches up with the stag.
The Dog Chase is designed for one person: the stag. If someone else in the group wants to face the dog too, one extra participant can be added for an additional fee. Since each dog can only do two chases per day, any further participants need to be arranged as a special request in advance. The rest of the group gets the best seats in the house to watch the show.
Your private guide picks the group up and travels with you by private transfer to the venue, around 30 minutes from the city center, and back. The package includes the Dog Chase experience with a professionally trained police dog and an experienced handler, full protective gear including a bite suit and helmet, and a round of beer for the group afterward to toast the survivor.
The protective suit is built to stop bites, but minor bruising or slight swelling can occasionally occur, so it's worth knowing this before you book. Any marks usually fade within a few days. If the stag would rather not risk a bruise or two, we're happy to suggest a different activity.
Dog Chase is organized on request, so please get in touch a few days in advance so we can arrange the dog and handler for your date.
Send us your group size and preferred date, and we'll arrange the guide, the transfer, the dog and the handler. All the stag has to do is run as fast as he can.
